Becca's blog

The Yab/Yum Foundation for Sustainable Relationship promotes harmony between men and women in relationship, as well as people dealing with one another in community.  On February 4th, Becca presented in a workshop on how people can come together during these stressful times of social and economic  disintegration.  Along with members of the local group ¡VIVA! ("facilitating ideas and practices for thriving community"), Becca led a crowd of 40 people in exercises aimed at removing the obstacles to separation and building trust among members of the Vilcabamba international community.

Is self sufficiency possible?  Is anyone truly independent?  With the exception of hermits and disembodied enlightened masters, are we not all interdependent?  More relevant to us, then, is community self-sufficiency . . . . which means we all need relationship skills.   Becca addresses this reality through hands-on exercises at the Self-Sufficiency Workshop, in Vilcabamba, Loja, Ecuador.

8 December 2010                                                                             New Website Unveiled!

Venus and Her Lover has had a web presence since 2004, and tonight we launched a totally overhauled website.  We hope you look around and enjoy the art and writing.  Today marks the 30th anniversary of the passing of John Lennon, and this website carries on his dream of people "living life in peace . . .".     We also honor the local goddess, the black Madonna de Juquila, on this, her night, as we send forth our strong feminine images into cyberspace.

We're still tweaking the website, so bear with us as we bring everything online.  Thanks for stopping in!

Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
