it is evident that the Earth is changing rapidly and humanity is reacting
in destructive and dangerous ways, less visible is the fact that a New
Paradigm is simultaneously on the rise - a way of living that is caring
and sustainable. In the New Paradigm there are already life-affirming
doctors, scientists, farmers, politicians, economists, educators, artists,
and others, and their pursuits will succeed, provided they are firmly
rooted. The Pillow Book of Venus and Her Lover - Reinventing the Myth
goes to the root - the basic belief system, or mythos, upon which we
build our worldview.
We believe that our essential self-concept and self-awareness affect
our relationship with ourselves, each other, our Earth, and the cosmos.
Through Venus and Her Lover, we portray a mythos that celebrates our
rootedness in our physical bodies and sexuality, as well as in our essential
spiritual natures. Our work arises from a functional mythos, and also
clearly explains how the fears and suspicions of the concept of separation
have led to the unequal relationships, war, and environmental distress
of our history.
With the achievement of all 64 paintings rendered, Venus and Her Lover
now arrives at the place where certain requirements become apparent.
As stewards of this vision, it is our responsibility to state these
requirements and seek their fulfillment. We can provide a proposal that
details these requirements, upon request.
A New Paradigm of peace and sustainability is emerging, and we intend
for Venus and Her Lover to stand in its rightful place in it. We have
given everything we have to the accomplishment of this art project,
and we have been blessed beyond our wildest dreams in return. We now
open the doors for you to participate and to receive, each according
to your calling, so that together we may bring this vision to a greater
humanity.
